Pr Philippe CHALMIN

Philippe Chalmin is a profesor in History and Economics at University Paris-Dauphine. He graduated from HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) in 1974, holds the french “Aggregation” in history and a PhD in literature and human sciences. He coordinates the annual publication CyclOpe, a leading reference on world commodities markets, published in French, English and Chinese. Philippe Chalmin is the founder and director since 2000 of the Club Ulysse, one of the main French associations of economists. He is advisor for the foreign trade of France (1993), member of the Council for International and European prospective of agriculture and food supply (2003), consultant to the World Bank and member of the Council of Economic Analysis to the Prime Minister (2006). He is president of  the Observatory of prices and margins of food supply (2010). He wrote or coordinated more than forty books and is frequently invited in the media.

Dr Yves MATHIEU

Yves Mathieu holds a PhD in Geosciences.  He joint the Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP) in 1978, where he occupied several positions in exploration and production. He has been Industry Project Manager until 1999 and Hydrocarbons Reserves Project Manager until 2009. He contributed to many international congresses and seminars on world hydrocarbons reserves. He is the author of the book "Le dernier siècle du pétrole? La vérité sur les réserves mondiales" * published in 2010 by Technip editions.

Francis PERRIN

Francis Perrin is Editorial Manager of Arab Oil & Gas, fortnightly publication from the Arab Petroleum Research Center (APRC) based in Paris. He is a contributor to the weekly publication Petrostrategies (Paris). He is a lecturer at the University Pierre Mendès France (Grenoble) and the Institut de Relations Internationales et Stratégiques (IRIS, Paris) where he is in charge of courses on the strategy of the oil industry, energy security and Non-Governmental Organizations. He is the author of the “Oil” and “Petroleum products” chapters of the annual report CyclOpe on commodities. He gave more than 50 conferences around the world on energy and is frequently interviewed in the French and international media on oil and energy issues.
